White River Valley High School's Boys Varsity Head Coach and Girls Varsity Assistant Coach
Matt Settles in the current Boys Varsity Head Coach (2014-Present) and Girls Varsity Assistant Coach (2021-Present) at White River Valley High School. While coaching at White River Valley, his Boys' team has achieved three consecutive 10+ win seasons (2020, 2021, 2022) and three consecutive Boys Sectional Championship games (2020, 2021, 2022). He also started the first ever high school soccer program in Greene Co. and the junior high teams for boys and girls (5th-8th grade students). Additionally, Settles is the Director of WSA (Wolverine Soccer Academy) for Pre-K through 4th grade students.
Before White River Valley High School, Settles coached at Evansville Mater Dei High School where he was the Boys Varsity Head Coach (2004-2012), making it to 7 Sectional Championships, 2 Regional Championships, 1 Semi-State Championship, and State.
Prior to his coaching career, Matt Settles played four years for the University of Southern Indiana. Three of those years he was a team captain. He also made 1st team All-GLVC and 2nd team All-Region.
