CEO & Founder of Ultimate Gaming Championship
Matt Jackson is the CEO & Founder of Ultimate Gaming Championship and a 15+ year veteran of the esports industry. Matt’s background in esports is rooted in humble beginnings, hosting local Halo tournaments in his hometown of Du Quoin, Illinois, attracting players from hundreds of miles away to come compete at his events. After identifying the hunger for competitive gaming, Matt began grooming UGC as a premier esports brand, organizing professional gaming tournaments across the country. Over the course of UGC’s lifetime, the company has partnered with and hosted tournaments for some of the industry’s biggest names, including Activision Blizzard, Microsoft, Red Bull, Mixer, The Coalition, and BenQ. Matt graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Masters in Architecture in 2010. He also taught architecture and manufacturing at Rend Lake College, as well as coached the college’s cross country team.
