Kelsey Hutchison

Assistant Volleyball Coach at Jordan High School

Kelsey Hutchison is the 1st assistant at Jordan High School. Prior to accepting this position at Jordan, she was the Varsity assistant and Freshman A Volleyball coach at Mayde Creek High School for the 2017-2019 seasons. Growing up the daughter of a Volleyball coach, Hutchison has significant experience in athlete development and growth of individual players. This skill helped Mayde Creek High School receive recognition of an individual player, District Defensive Specialist of the year during the 2019 season. In the two years there, Head coach Jennifer Vaden and Kelsey Hutchison improved the program record from 5 wins to 20+ in the 2019 volleyball season.

Before coming to Mayde Creek, Hutchison opened Tays Junior High in 2016, where she coached Volleyball, Basketball, Track and Soccer. At Tays, their Volleyball program won a District Championship. Hutchison also assisted the Tompkins High School Volleyball Program in scouting opponents for district and post-season playoffs. Before moving back to Texas in 2015, Hutchison lived in Bakersfield, CA where she coached club volleyball and worked for an oil corporation.

Hutchison is a Texas native who graduated from Lindale High School in East Texas. Kelsey Hutchison attended Texas A&M University where she graduated with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in Math & Science. She also received her M.Ed. in Education Administration from Lamar University in May 2020. Kelsey Hutchison is married to Zachary Hutchison, a petroleum engineer. They have a 1 year old (Bowen). During their free time, they enjoy gardening, riding their bikes, and cooking.
