Dr. Tayler Onion is a former NCAA Division I Volleyball student-athlete turned podcast host, entrepreneur, and professor. As the founder and host of Hang Time, she is focused on amplifying the stories of women in sports and having conversations that drive awareness, connection, and change. Through her consulting work, Dr. Onion partners with organizations to deliver strategies and programming in leadership, social media, personal branding, and athlete development. Before transitioning into academia, Dr. Onion spent over a decade working in college athletics. With experience in event management, student-athlete and leadership development, external relations, and major gifts fundraising, she now works at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL) as an Assistant Teaching Professor of Sport Management. At UMSL, Dr. Onion teaches courses in sports media and technology, sport leadership, and ethics in sport. Her work brings together practice and theory, bridging real-world industry expertise with the classroom to prepare the next generation of sport leaders.
