- Gel-to-Shell™ Custom Molding Shield: Shields start out soft. Rip open the package and exposure to air turns the soft gel pad into a hard, protective Shield. Place the Shields into the shirt over the ribs, and it will mold to your body shape as it hardens. The entire process takes 30 minutes. It’s permanently molded so you can wear it all season long
